At St Luke’s we embrace the following core values as a reflection of the character of Christ, into whom we are being renewed daily and empowered to live out in the world around us so the people we meet may, through us, experience Christ in their lives.
We value the courage to step out in faith, trying new and innovative things, following the Holy Spirit’s lead, knowing God is with us. (Joshua 1:9)
We value the honesty to speak the truth in Christ, bearing witness through the Holy Spirit of the unconditional grace freely given and calling us into community. (Romans 9:1)
We value respect of one another, those called to lead us, and those to whom we are called to serve. (Romans 13:7)
We value integrity in what we say and do, bearing witness to our life in Christ through the actions and lives we live. (Titus 2:7)
We value servanthood as a calling to humility and Christlike living, raising up those around us through Christ’s grace and love expressed through us. (Philippians 2:7)
We value teamwork, for we are stronger together, carrying one another whether we succeed or fail, and demonstrating the power of unity for Christ is with us. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, Matthew 18:20)
